From Hot Chip to Carl Craig, Sub Focus to Friendly Fires, Skream to Depeche Mode, you get the picture. I have occasional mixes and sessions and I've had the Pet Shop Boys and Calvin Harris on the show. I recently interviewed Depeche Mode, to hear the full interview head to http://www.galaxyscotland.co.uk/mash-4321 Click on the link to read my weekly playlists. Hogmanay was great fun. I was playing at Moskito in Glasgow, then jumped in the car and drove to Edinburgh to play at Hed Kandi in the Galaxy room. Despite being in the car on the M8 at midnight, I had a Great night! On January 30th I played with RITON at one of my residencies, Let it Bleed in Aberdeen. I'm a big fan of his work and it was great playing with him. He was really funny, and in no way looked like the comedian, Russell Howard. I'm playing with BBC Radio 1's KISSY SELL OUT on Saturday 27th February, tickets are already selling well for it and it is at the Forum in Aberdeen. I love playing at Let it Bleed, it is always amazing and I've played with people like Bloody Beetroots, Digitalism, Carl Craig, Errors, Dan le Sac, Bonde del role etc.... Also Burn Mondays at the Buff are still rocking after so many years being the original and best Monday night trade night. It was our 15th Birthday on Monday 1st February. 15 years of people phoning in sick on a Tuesday! In that time has seen guests from Mylo, Joey Negro, Jacques Lu Cont, Todd Terje........ As well as Mike Skinner, Kings of Leon, Massive Attack, Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris, Snow Patrol, Lily Allen, Avril Lavingne, Spice Girls, Iron Maiden, George Benson have all been down as punters. Plus hundreds of clubbers all turning out at Burn. Our birthday party on the 1st February was aamazing with The Slips playing live! They have just remixed Daft Punk and The XX, they are a name to watch in 2010. The guys absolutely rocked and we will definately get them back in the future. Check out my new page on Resident Advisor http://www.residentadvisor.net/profile/djmash and also check my new tracks on my Sound Cloud page http://soundcloud.com/mash I've started a new Compact Disco residency every Friday evening in the Black Sparrow 6-9pm. Come and have an after work tea time pint and listen to some good music in a 'compact' venue. The last COMPACT DISCO was held on Friday October 2nd at the Admiral. Head to COMPACTDISCO.NET to download the mix cd mixed by me. I was playing alongside special guest JD.Twitch from Optimo. Twitch is one of my favourite djs of all time! Twitch was totally rocking despite a water leak dripping on him, rock and roll. Watch this space for future guests or find us on Facebook for updates. Also started a new Sunday night residency at the Buff Club. Sin City Sundays. Im djing with Marky Mark playing a great mix of music. Cheapie drinks promos at £1.50 every week. Free entry for students. Saturdays I play at Bread and Butter in Karbon playing the best in electro and house. My weekly Friday residency at O'Couture have been great with recent guests being Alex Metric and Linus Loves, Other guests have included Joe Goddard from Hot Chip and David Sinclair from Killer Kitsch. We also had an extra special guest in the shape of Stringer Bell from The Wire, aka Idris Elba. He was a sound bloke and referred to me as, 'his main man Mash,' Which was hilarious to hear Stringer Bell say that, cool. I've got 2 tracks coming out soon on www.reforecordings.co.uk, one called Melted and one called Kedgeree, this is being released on Refo Recordings in March with an excellent remix by Rob Etherson. Check it on my Sound Cloud or Myspace I've also just remixed Blacktzar's single Fade into Life, which is out now on Scooter Recordings. The sleeve artwork by www.akaelph.com is amazing. I would describe Blacktzar as Depeche Mode meets The Temper Trap. www.blacktzar.com I've been getting the remixes together for the re-release of Somebody's Property, keep you posted. Check out the original on my myspace Check out my new remixes of Salt 'n' Pepa's Push it, and also Peaches Fuck the pain away, on the download page! They've been going down well when I've been playing it out! Checkout an article in M8 Magazine with a full page article here ... I play in Moskito Bar and Bites Thursday nights until 2am, great wee bar. I spend to much time in the place! Its my other home. They have a website now! How nineties! http://www.moskitoglasgow.com/ Push it, push it real good....... Mash
